Iced Dark Blonde: a deep blonde with cool tones
Among our blondes, this is the deepest and least golden. It is for people who want a dark blonde without a strong honey or copper tint.
“Iced” points to a cool tendency, not a guaranteed ash shade. Your natural roots, coloured lengths and white hair may react differently to the same blend. Judge the depth and tone on a strand before applying it everywhere.
What is in the sachet
- Indigo: the first ingredient, it brings depth and coolness.
- Cassia: it keeps the colour in blonde tones.
- Henna and catechu: they fix and deepen the colour.
- Amla, sidr and neem: three care plants.
With indigo and henna, this is not a neutral treatment: the powder can darken a light base. Nor does it lighten chestnut or brown hair. And it is not an automatic corrector: if your current tones are very warm, start with a diagnosis and a strand test.
What to expect depending on your base
| Your current colour | What to watch |
|---|---|
| Natural dark blonde | The depth and coolness you get, to be checked on a strand |
| Natural light blonde | Your blonde may darken: test before applying everywhere |
| White or grey hair | The result may differ: coverage is not necessarily even |
| Bleached or very porous hair | Test lengths and roots separately; take care with indigo on a very light base |
| Dark chestnut or brown | The powder will not turn you blonde |
Iced, honey or light: which blonde to choose?
Iced Dark Blonde means depth and coolness. For a warm, amber blonde, choose Honey Blonde. For light tones on an already light base, see Light Blonde. The three formulas are different: compare their ingredients in our plant-based hair colour range.
Preparing your first colour
- Read the instructions and do the recommended tolerance test.
- Prepare a test strand that includes roots, white hair and lengths, if these areas differ.
- Mix the powder with water following the instructions (temperature, processing time).
- Rinse according to the instructions.
The amount depends on the length and thickness of your hair: 100 g is not always enough for a full application.
